About The Dance Troupe
The Ghungroo Revolution is a Glasgow-based Indian classical dance group, founded in 2024 by Kamalika Ghosh, bringing together passionate, professionally trained adult dancers from Glasgow and Edinburgh. Rooted in Indian Classical dance styles like Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, and Kuchipudi, we also perform a wide range of other Indian dance forms like Rabindranritya, Indian Folk, Indian Contemporary and freestyle. Our performances are tailor-made to match the unique theme and energy of each event, ensuring a memorable and meaningful experience for both the organizers and the audience.
Whether you're a trained dancer looking to join us or an event manager seeking a standout act, we deliver artistry with purpose, precision and passion.
Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a vibrant sustainable platform for classically trained artists to continue performing at a professional level, thereby preserving the richness of Indian Classical dances for future generations. We are creating a revolution with our ghungroos-- bringing Indian Classical Dances to wider audiences by making them relatable, while staying true to their authentic essence.
We are deeply committed to the quality and integrity of our art, so only perform in a limited number of events each year. Every performance is thoughtfully curated, and even when set to non-traditional music, we maintain the purity of classical movements without diluting it with fusion steps.
